Waves Restaurant - Design & Construct

The new Waves Restaurant in the Watermark Hotel, Surfers Paradise consisted of the total demolition of the existing restaurant area. The new renovations included extensive stone finished servery units and cooking areas, the installation of two Tandoori ovens, stainless steel exhaust canopies, a 16 metre hot buffet, new stainless steel work and cook area’s, a chocolate fountain, refrigerated sweets display, desert bar, open dining area and banquette seating.

There were many challenges in this project including the upgrade of existing services to meet the new layout whilst remaining compliant with the current codes. MP Group worked closely with hotel management to co-ordinate works ensuring minimal interruption to guest services and the daily running of the hotel.

The involvement of the MP Group in this project included managing the design, as well as undertaking the complete fitout and project management. This consisted of preparing the initial budgets, tendering, liaison with local authorities, manufacture of joinery, site installation and on-site management of all sub-trades through to completion.
