MP Group were engaged to project manage and complete the fitout of Supre's signature store located within a heritage listed building in the Bourke Street Mall, Melbourne CBD.

The store fitout involved the complete refurbishment of 2 of the 7 levels within the building, and required extensive project management and planning throughout the 12 months prior to commencement, to obtain approvals from the appropriate Council bodies due the buildings Heritage listing.

Internally the main challenge was the installation of a 10 tonne, 13 metre escalator creating internal access from the ground floor space to the first floor.  This installation required extensive structural preparation such as the use of a temporary 25mm steel floor plate held in place by heavy duty acro props to support the first floor, as well as excavation for the footings to support the weight of the escalator.  Precise planning was also required to ensure that the escalator was delivered and installed after hours and within a 6 hour window due to the stores central CBD location.

MP Group's construction and shopfitting divisions worked together to project manage this project including preparation of the initial budget, tendering, manufacturing of all joinery and management of sub-trades through to completion / handover.
